It happened just after 8 p.m. Monday night on I-275 near State Route 28.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Jason Bell struck a deer that left his car disabled in the center lane.

His 3 children, ages 10, 8, and 6 were in the back seat, but none were taken to the hospital.

William Powers swerved to miss Bell's car, but struck the left rear of the car.

Power's Hummer overturned, and he was ejected. Powers was pronounced dead at the scene.

His 7-year-old son was in the car, and was taken to Children's Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Officers said Powers was not wearing a seatbelt.
